Good afternoon.
I have a problem with KyPass Companion v0.8.x and group.
I had create a group “test” with one entry “test”.
I can delete entry but not group.
I can delete all with KeePass 2.18. In this application, i have a recycle bin but not in KyPass Companion.
KyPass Companion is a very good application versus KeePass in integration in Mac Os and functionalities.

Before, you could hide the icon in the dock. Now, you cannot.

You could quit KyPass Companion (cmd-q) and the server is still running in the right part of the panel bar 🙂

I’m trying to reproduce the bug.

This is strange, I left for lunch and came back. When I woke my Mac from sleep mode, the UI looks fine.
Then, I closed KyPass and re-launched it and had the same issue again.
I’m running 10.8.4 (12E55) on a MacBook Air with 1.8 GHz Intel Core i5 and 8GB of RAM with the Intel HD Graphics 4000 512MB.

On my Mac, KyPass Helper crash:
Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGBUS)
Exception Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE at 0x000000010e55a000-

I’ve tried the last build, and this time KyPass Helper hang (take 100% CPU on one core and spinning beach ball of death on the K icon in the menu bar)

Great to see the scrolling – still needs some tweaking as the first few groups are not visible until trying to scroll.
Still having trouble with removing groups, and adding entries:
If I click the + button it creates a new group – not an entry
Then I want to delete this group – I right click and select Delete Group
Nothing happens.0.8.2 (133) on Mountain Lion 10.8.4

Great stuff so far… still a few bugs.. e.g.: you cannot delete a subgroup
Also a nice feature would be to have a “open recent databases” menu from the top status bar (not just from the dock or at the top left file menu).
Just keep up the nice progress 😉 -
Just installed Kypass 0.8.2 in my Macbook Pro it works great. The only thing is that I can’t install the Safari extension. I follow the instructions and it only opens a new webpage.
Can you help with this?

I’m unable to delete groups. If you could fix this, KyPass would be my go-to keepass client.

Question: Does the Safari extension work? When I try to install it, I get brought to the kyuran.be website and nothing happens.

Custom icon still not shown on Entry page and cannot add custom ones. 🙁
Left group bar cuts off even the default groups text like “Social Media” just reads “Social Med” and not even the whole “d” shows. Should be able to adjust width of the space. That’s pretty standard UI.
Even with no entry selected, right clicking anywhere in any group brings allows Edit and View entry of the last entry viewed. This shouldn’t happen. If there is nothing selected, then “Edit Entry” “View Entry” should be disabled. For that matter, copy username, password and URL should also be disabled because there is no current selection.
To reproduce that: double-click any entry. Click cancel. Change to a different group. Now right-click anywhere in the main window and then any context action is based on the previously viewed entry even though it is no longer selected. Or, rather, it shouldn’t be selected because it doesn’t show it. Even if it might be selected, changing groups should deselect it automatically. The visual doesn’t match the actions.

Would be great if it prompted you to save your changes before closing the database. Just lost all of my passwords.

There is a dialog box when you leave file without saving database.
Could you retry ?-
Did the following with .8.3
1. file new
2. change password to test and saved the changes
3. delete Sample entry number 2
4. add new entry test
5. close by clicking the red x in upper left hand corner
6. reopen database and enter password
7. sample entry 2 is present and test entry is not present.No dialog box showed up for me.

First, great app.
I have found one bug though. When I add an entry, all the custom attributes of other entries that enabled in-memory protection will be changed to base64 strings that decode to binary strings, which are not the original strings.Thanks!
